The association that thinks like a Collab

The exploding ecosystem of blockchain, NFTs, DAOs and currency means hours of research. If you are reading this, you’ve probably scrolled through a fair share of cheesy YouTube videos and promised air-drops.
Web3Collab was originally founded to cut down the learning curve by hosting events with live experts who could give instructional presentations with lots of time for Q&A. Since then the Collab has grown into an association of like-minded people with a passion for learning and entrepreneurial projects.
The original team, including Alisa Cromer, a journalist and publisher; Burak Sezen, a 2x founder, investor and data analyst; still host live courses, including four foundational instructional courses: Introduction to Blockchain and Crypto; DAO Fundamentals, NFT Bootcamp and Defi fundamentals, all taught live-on-Zoom and free to members.
However, members now also co-host events, discuss burning issues of the day, and share knowledge, as they find collaborators, build a network of experts, and get feedback for their own projects.
In fact, since its inception in December 2019, 2000+ people have RSVPd 3765 times to more than 200 mostly online events hosted at the Web3Collab.org. Many of our members-only events are small group events, pitch nights and discussions where members share expertise in unique areas like Data DAOs, Web3 storage, emerging NFT utility projects, or just how to find a community for your NFT art project from a cold start. If you have an expertise, sooner or later, you may find yourself presenting to the group, and you’ll find yourself amazed by the quality both of the members and their projects.
Our code is pretty simple: Members use real names, emails and phone numbers, although you choose whether or not to share this contact information with the others. Common courtesy is mandatory. No one promises how much money someone will make on anything. We are value-oriented and like business ideas with real world applications and revenue models. It it looks like a Ponzi scheme, you are not going to be invited to pitch night.
We are all believers in the the potential for blockchain technology, concepts and culture to transform the future. On the roadmap for the remainder of 2022:
• A Member Directory to make it easier for you to find and chat with other members, to share your own organizations, skill sets and projects, and to participate in a for-pay ‘knowledge exchange.’
• Continuing to build a searchable video/text library from our meetings and events, so that members can delve into areas of interest on their own time, and still contact speakers.
• Certifications for the four core courses, with an on-demand curriculum option.
• Partnerships with live conferences in different areas of the country where members can meet in person.
