Here are the top tools instructor Burak Sezen, founder of a 40 hotspot network, uses and why:
- Abacus Grid – Helium AnalyticsCreate reports for $1 each using analytics.
– - Helium Console – Tool to register IoT devices to use the Helium network
– - Helium Explorer – Search tool for Hotspots
–
Helium explore gives you an interactive map of all the Hexagons with hotspots that has more detail than the Helium app. To build your network, type in the name of your hotspot, and drill down to the area you are interested in to check the streets in open Hexagons adjacent to yours.Find and contact other owners near you on Discord, Telegram, or another app of your choice. Collaborate so that everyone earns more.
– - HeliumHosts – Networking for Hotspot owners
– - Helium Hotspot App – Manage Hotspots and HNT Rewards
– - Helium Toolbox – Consultancy and Installation
This is the basic app that allows you to monitor your hotspots and also serves as a wallet. You can do a number of things on this app: Check the Transmit Scale to see the density of the hotspots in any hexagon where one of your Hotspots is located. The scale is from 0 to 1, with 1 being high, which means there is only one hotspot in the Hexagon and your hotspot therefore will earn 100% of the tokens mined. You can also see a quick view of the Hexagon landscape, send and receive HNT’s to other wallets, and “update” your hotspot if you changed locations or added a more powerful antenna.
HotspotRF shows the expected range of a hotspot at any address after you type in the height and antenna DPI and whether the area is urban, suburban, or rural. It even precalculates expected earnings from a given location.
Hotspotty has the most readable map, and is colour-coded, so you can see all the hotspots in the area, with their transmit scale, or track all your hotspots in one place. Input your wallet, and it will give create visualizations to help optimize.
